Plum

Plum colours range from almost black to light and bright. Plum can be both a cool or warm colour with its mix of blue and red, and it shares some of the meanings of both colours; mystery, and nobility in particular.

Dark plum is currently on trend paired with a mid grey,  while the lighter plums require a very light grey or light beige, possibly teamed with a pale aqua, to avoid being overwhelmed.

Opposite plum on the colour wheel is green, so the two will always pair well in a scheme. Plum also pairs well with yellowish or bluish greens and with beige. If you need a pop of contrast, add a bright orange or chartreuse to your design.
